Polish Cave Instructor Bartek Buszko found Box Ki Sin in 2015 and decided to try something relatively new in the exploration scene here in Quintana Roo, despite the remoteness of the cave he decided to share it with friends, experienced explorers like Mauro and more recent cave divers, teaching them surveying and mapping techniques while they accumulate cave diving experience. Two major expeditions have been conducted in Box Ki Sin, in autumn 2016 and 2017 and the map of the system is looking great so far.
